Description
Instant Masala Coffee from the Western Ghats of Kerala — Destiny of Spices
The Queen of Spices — Now in Every Cup
Deep in the mist-covered Cardamom Hills of Idukki, Kerala, where two monsoons converge above 900 metres and the Western Ghats forest never fully dries, grows a tradition older than any modern beverage brand. At Destiny of Spices, we have taken that thousand-year spice heritage and distilled it into one extraordinary product: our Instant Masala Coffee from the Western Ghats of Kerala — a bold, aromatic, naturally spiced coffee blend that dissolves instantly and delivers the real taste of Kerala’s hills in every single cup.
This is not masala coffee flavouring. This is the genuine article — sourced directly from small-batch farmers in the Idukki and Western Ghats spice belt, blended with precision, and packed in hygienic sealed sachets without a single artificial additive.
What Is Inside: Ingredients & Origin
Our Instant Masala Coffee is built on a foundation of 100% pure Arabica and Robusta green coffee beans — shade-grown in the high ranges of Idukki, Kerala’s own coffee capital producing nearly 40% of India’s total coffee output. To this we add a hand-selected masala blend of:
- Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum) — sourced from the Cardamom Hills of Idukki, the spice’s native homeland and the source of the world’s finest, most aromatic pods
- Dry Ginger — sun-dried and stone-ground, delivering warmth without harshness
- Black Pepper — cold-cracked Kerala Malabar pepper for a clean, bright heat
- Star Anise — adding a delicate liquorice depth that rounds the blend
- Fennel Seeds — for a naturally sweet, digestive finish
No chicory. No synthetic colour. No artificial flavour. No preservatives. No MSG. What you taste is exactly what the hills of Kerala produce — nothing more, nothing less.
How to Prepare Your Perfect Cup
Step 1 — Measure: Add 1 heaped teaspoon (approximately 2–3 g) of Destiny of Spices Instant Masala Coffee to your cup.
Step 2 — Add Liquid: Pour 150–180 ml of freshly boiled water (90–95°C) directly over the powder and stir briskly for 10 seconds. For a creamier, South Indian-style masala coffee, substitute half or all of the water with hot full-fat milk.
Step 3 — Sweeten to Taste: Add sugar, jaggery, or a plant-based sweetener of your preference. The spice blend is balanced to complement both sweetened and unsweetened cups.
Serve: Enjoy immediately. For iced masala coffee, dissolve in 60 ml hot water first, then pour over ice and top with chilled milk.
Serving Suggestion: Best paired with Kerala banana chips, cardamom biscuits, or a traditional Kerala breakfast spread.
Storage Instructions — Preserving Freshness at Its Peak
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources — ideal storage temperature is below 25°C.
- Once opened, reseal the pouch tightly after each use. For bulk packs, transfer contents to an airtight glass or food-grade container immediately after opening.
- Do not expose to moisture. Even brief contact with humidity will cause clumping and accelerate aroma loss.
- Shelf life: 12 months from the date of manufacture in original sealed packaging. Best consumed within 60 days of opening.
- Keep away from strong-smelling foods — spiced blends absorb ambient odours easily.
Our packaging is specifically engineered for long-shelf storage: triple-layered laminated pouches with an inner aluminium foil barrier lock out moisture, oxygen, and UV light, maintaining the volatile oils in the cardamom and the freshness of the coffee from our farm to your cup.
Hygienic Packing — Our Commitment to Food Safety
Every batch of Destiny of Spices Instant Masala Coffee is produced in a FSSAI-certified, ISO-compliant facility under strict Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) protocols. Our process includes:
- Raw material testing for moisture, volatile oil content, and microbial load before blending
- Contact-surface sanitation between every production run
- Metal detection and foreign-body screening at point of packing
- Tamper-evident heat-sealed pouches with batch code, MFG date, and expiry clearly printed
- Allergen-segregated production environment — vegetarian certified, no cross-contamination
For export buyers, we offer third-party lab certification, Certificate of Origin, phytosanitary documentation, and full compliance with EU, UAE, and US food import regulations.
